The Bureau of International Recycling (BIR) is the only global recycling industry federation representing around 800 companies and 35 affiliated national recycling associations from 70 different countries. Its members are world leaders in the supply of raw materials and a key pillar for sustainable economic development.
The recycling industry
The eyes of the recycling industry will be on Budapest this October – at this crucial juncture in today’s international trading environment, the industry must address significant questions if we are to deliver a truly effective response to all the challenges that the future holds. This will be the focus of the opening session at the World Recycling Convention (Round-Table Sessions) in Budapest, with a special “Spotlight discussion on Global Trade”.
With over 800 expected participants, a packed conference programme, and a fully-booked exhibition, BIR Budapest 2019 is the most significant meeting point for key decision-makers from the recycling industry worldwide in this last half of the year. The event will take place in the newly renovated Budapest Marriott Hotel, located on the beautiful Danube banks.
All plenary meetings, committee meetings, divisional luncheons and the exhibition will take place at the Budapest Marriott Hotel.
Please note that this schedule is tentative and may be subject to small amendments prior to the convention. Additional workshops may be announced at a later stage.
Simultaneous interpreting into English, German and French will be provided during the plenary sessions.
